| Description:
MaxMeridia paprika is grown in the “La Vera” region of Extremadura, in
western Spain, the home of most Spanish Conquistadors. Introduced from the
new world by Cristopher Columbus, Spanish pimentón is the oldest paprika
produced in the old world. Sorted according to spiciness, the peppers are
then slow-cured in smokehouses burning Holm oak, (Encina)
which gives it its unmistakable flavor and aroma. Our Spice collection
includes two varieties: sweet and hot (spicy). Pimentón is so widely used in
Spanish cooking that it is impossible to imagine Spanish cuisine without it.
Use in stews, chorizos (sausage), sprinkled on tapas,
pintxos, in spice mixes for barbeque rubs, on grilled meat and seafood of
all kinds. |
